200 metres Open / Women / Mixed / BSC / JNR – Small Boat (1st , 2nd , 3rd trophies)
2000 metres Mixed - Standard Boat only (Island Race – 1st & 2nd cash prize)

 Parking:
• You can now legally park on the side of the road closest to where you set up your tents.
• Council has given approval for us to use the oval for parking – we will be checking how wet it is on Sunday morning & will rope off the area to be used, if any.
• There will be Broadwater members assisting with parking. Tough job, please be kind.
• Please do not drive up to the boat ramp unless you are towing boats. There is no access for vehicles on to the grassed area for tents and gear drop off. You will need to park on the side of the road, unload and then stay there or park on the oval. Parking on the opposite side of the road is at your own risk.

Port-a-loos:
• We have 8 porta-a-loos onsite this year. Delivery is confirmed for 6.00am by a local company (thank you Kennards Nerang). If you are travelling from afar, please make a pit stop at a servo on the way.

Registration Tent:
• Please ensure that two (2) hardcopy crew lists and one (1) Full Participation list are provided to Race Admin between 6.30am - 7.00am.

Boats:
• The boat ramp will be used this year for unloading and loading boats. We have parking on the oval for towers. A Broadwater representative will be on site from 5.30am to assist.
• Shout-out to Tweed, Gold Coast and Currumbin clubs for the loan of their boats for our regatta.
• Fleet: will consist of 8 x Gen 4 standard (20’s) boats. All racing for small and standard crews will be in standard boats.
• Race loading & unloading will continue to take place from the beach area.
• Drummers must be on all crews HOWEVER drumming cannot take place until 9am as per the agreement with Emerald Lakes Management. Marshalling will advise which race your drummer can start to make some noise.
• The 2000m Island race will be held at the end of the day. There are 19 entries for this race.
Order of racing will be determined by 200m standard mixed times.
Boat Loading:
• Loading and unloading will be each crew’s responsibility. There will be minimal volunteers to assist with quick and smooth transitions.
• If your boat has water in it please allocate a crew member to bail while you are paddling to the start line. Do not use valuable time at loading to empty the boat first.
• Sweeps, crews are not to return to the beach until all boats for the next race have left the beach and to follow the instruction from the boat handlers. This should ensure we avoid any incidents.
Sweeps Register:
• Sweeps must sign the register prior to loading. This will be at marshalling
Race Draw:
• We have done our best to accommodate everyone’s exemptions and amendments. The ‘ultimate’ aim is to get as many crews on the water, as many races as possible and have a great day.

Food / Drink / Raffles: to help with your cash planning ☺
• Menu
• Coffee van will be ready to serve from 6am: Coffee - hot & cold, Milkshakes, Smoothies, Cookies, Banana Bread
• We have Raffles galore - 1 ticket $2 or 3 tickets $5 - and an accommodation at an Air BnB worth $$$$ - bring your cash or cards to get your tickets early
NOTE: we only have one square for tapping cards for payment at the BBQ & raffles area. If you can, please bring cash so the wait time to purchase food and tickets isn’t horrendous!

Site Plan: Attached to this email. The same set-up as per previous years:
• please ensure you erect your tents with the narrowest end facing the water
• Council requests sand bags be used as weights instead of pegs – please use sand bags if you have them. If not please be careful with the pegs & when packing up please tread the peg holes down. We have been advised they will be checking!
Rubbish:
• A large black plastic garbage bag will be provided for each club. Please take your rubbish with you at the end of the day. Do not leave your rubbish bags next to the council bins at the venue – we have to remove all rubbish, otherwise we will be fined.
